Padraig has a broad range of technical and operational expertise with more than twenty years of experience in underground hard rock mining, tunnelling and quarrying. Padraig began his career as a miner and throughout his profession has held various senior management roles in mining operations, technical services and project management. Padraig has mining expertise in high speed development, support installation, man management and change management. Padraig has technical expertise in mine planning, ore reserve estimation, backfill, production drill and blast design and ventilation. Padraig has been involved at Lisheen Mine through all stages of its life from mine construction, development, production through to closure.

Padraig has led many operational de-bottle necking and safety improvement programmes while at Lisheen resulting in improvements in overall efficiencies, production and safety. Padraig has worked on optimisation projects, mine/technical audits and reviews at mining operations in India, Brazil and Africa on behalf of Anglo American and Vedanta. As Technical Director at LTMS, Padraig has successfully managed reserve estimations for bankable feasibility studies, due diligence, financial mine reviews, mine technical audits and reviews in various hard rock mines in Kazakhstan, Russia, Canada, Poland, UK and Ireland.
